Balance the chemical equation for the process of photosynthesis. _CO2 + _H2O => 4C6H12O6 + _O2

OpenStudy (abb0t):

You can make this easier on yourself by making a table that shows what you have on both reactant and product sides, like this: |dw:1414102470582:dw| in order for it to be balanced, you need to have the same number on both products and reactant side. Keep in mind that it follows distributive property, if you add a 2 in front of the CO\(_2\) that means you now have 2 carbon and 4 oxygen + 1 oxygen from water (total 5 hydrogen) If you add a 5, you have 5 carbon and 10 oxygen + 1 oxygen from water = 11 total oxygen
