First we can remove the brackets in the numerator, giving: \[\large \frac{2.5t+2+1.8t+3}{2}\] The next step is to add the like terms in the numerator. To help you do that I will group the like terms and put them inside brackets, giving: \[\large \frac{(2.5t+1.8t)+(2+3)}{2}\] Can you now add the like terms in the numerator and post the result?

Good work. When you add the like terms in the numerator and plug in the value 2 for t the numerator equals 13.6. So now we have: \[\large Cost\ for\ each\ person=\frac{13.6}{2}=you\ can\ calculate\]
