Is a solution resulting from a neutralization reaction the same as pure water? I want to say no it is not because there would be salt as it is one of the biprodcuts of neutralization..

ere will be negative ions from the acid and positive ions from the base in there too. Example: HCl + NaOH -----> H2O + NaCl You would have salt water, not pure water. so i would say you're right
