OpenStudy (anonymous):

Suppose a force of 100 newtons is used to push an object a distance of 5 meters in 15 seconds. Find the work done and the power for this situation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The formula for Work is W=Force*change in distance. Therefore, W=100N*5m=500Nm=500Joules. The formula for Power is P=Force*velocity. Therefore, P=100N*(5m/15sec)=33.33333...Nm/sec=33.3333....Watts.
