A bowling ball is dropped from the top of a tower and takes 5.6 seconds to hit the ground. What is the displacement?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When falling the ball is being subjected to the acceleration due to gravity. You need to find an equation that relates the initial velocity \(v_0\) (which you know is zero), acceleration (due to gravity) \(g\) and time \(t\), in order to find the velocity of the ball when it hit the ground. Once you've found the velocity \(v\) it had at 5.6 seconds. You can use an equation that relates; \(v\), \(v_0\), \(d\) and \(g\) to solve for \(d\).
