Calculate the amount of heat in kilojoules needed to convert 190.0 g of liquid water to steam at 100.0°C (∆Hvap= 40.65 kJ/mol). This is what I did. 190gH20 x 1mol/18.012gH2Ox 40.65kj H20/1mol=428.73Kj. Is the temperature relevant? I'm not sure?

OpenStudy (surry99):

you are correct. The reason they gave you the temperature is because delta h vap depends on T.

Thank you so much.

you are most welcome
