OpenStudy (anonymous):

What type of bond is most likely to be formed between two fluorine atoms?

OpenStudy (ookawaiioo):

pi-bond........ Fluorine in its gas phase is weird because usually it forms a covalent bond , like all the other diatomic elements within the same family. We know that sigma bonds are stronger than pi-bonds. Hence, Cl2 bond is stronger than F2.
