i really need help with this find the values of x,y, and z. The diagram is not to scale https://www.connexus.com/content/media/451160-12172010-104020-AM-1393023501.png

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is this Geometry? I can't see the attachment.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea it is hold on i'll try posting it again

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you see it know

Check your inbox, please.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright c:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There's a theorem for this. Basically, 63 + 36 + y = 180. 99 + y = 180. 99 - 99 + y = 180 - 99. y = 81.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm pretty sure you can do the same thing for x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

omg thanks but can you still help with the rest..?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm.. um can you guide me if your still there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x + y = 180 x + 81 = 180 x + 81 - 81 = 180 - 81 x = 99.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When yo write this, though, make sure that the y that I'm talking about is actually z. So if you write what I wrote, replace all the y's with z's.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for which on and can you help me with the last one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh so the first one is supposed to be replaced with z

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Check your messages.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First, we'll find x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you so much :) ok lets find x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

63 + 36 + x = 180

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i just add 63 with 36?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

99 + x = 180 99 - 99 + x = 180 - 99 x = 81

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, and then you subtract the answer from both sides. (answer being 99)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now, we'll find z.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x + z = 180 81 + z = 180

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh i see, alright know lets find z i'm kind of getting it but i'm still stumbling. but how do i find z

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So you use the formula x + z = 180. Plug in x, and then solve it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I already wrote what to plug in above.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know but didn't you already plug it in when you replaced x with the number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, so: 81 + z = 180

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do you isolate z?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk i'm really sorry i feel really umb

OpenStudy (anonymous):

81 - 81 + z = 180 - 81 z = 99

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh i see and then wait did we do y?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is this multiple choice?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no :( i'm actually supposed to explain but i can do that once i figure this out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is called triangle angle-sum theorem by the way. Make sure to mention it when you write your response.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright thanks but how about y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is there even a y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not 100% sure, but I think you take: 63 + 36 + y = 180 99 + y = 180 99 - 99 + y = 180 - 99 y = 81

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright thanks so much i'll give you a medal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem! I hope I helped. And thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem
