H2SO4 + H2O = H30+ + HSO4- For the acid, is equilibrium on the product or the reactant side? I really have a poor understanding of how these things work, I know there is some kind of K value, but I have no idea how to calculate it.

It's been a while since I've seen a question like this, and I am only guessing - I'm sorry but... I would say the reactant side because things don't like to be in anion and cation states. on the reactant side everything look happy. now if there is a calculation involved, Im sorry, I don't remember how to do it.
