If f(x)= cscxtanx, then f'(x)=?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

it might help to recognize that csc(x) = 1/sin(x) and tan(x) = sin(x)/cos(x)

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

cscx tanx = 1/sin(x) * sin(x) /cos(x) = sec(x)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

the product rule works though

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

you beat me to it:)

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

sec(x) can be re-written as (cos x)^-1 and derive it using the chain rule.
