@dan815 Do you think you could help me with solving Inequality Equations?

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

please, you have to eliminate the absolute value, first, so you can get two system of inequalities. Each system is composed by two ineqaulities. Please write at least one of those system

I have tried but i sitll cannot graph it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

[2x - 3] < 9

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

if 2x-3 is Greater or equal zero, then the first inequality becomes: \[2x-3-4>5\], so you have the first system, which is composed by the subsequent inequalities: \[2x-3\ge 0, and 2x-3-4>5\], please try to solve this system

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Confused me on the zero...part it hought it was suppose to go to -5 instead of zero...

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

Ok!, the solution of \[2x-3\ge 0\] is: \[x \ge \frac{ 3 }{ 2 }\] whereas the solution of \[2x-3-4>5\] is: \[x >6\] you agree?

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

|dw:1416433964230:dw| wher is the intersection?

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

@tubby6901 the lines intersect each other when x>6
