Rate equations: In high school i learnt that the stoichiometric ratio doesn't affect the way we write the rate equations, but in my uni textbook, it says otherwise. According to my textbook, if we have a reaction of the form 2A->B the rate equation would be rate=Ak[A]^A. can someone explain why and if its correct or not.
