Chemistry True or False? groups in the periodic table with low valance electron numbers tend to be more reactive than others i would say true..

That may not necessarily be true...? Low number of valence electrons tends to be an indicator of higher reactivity when it comes to metals, because they are likelier to lose those valence electrons to reach a more stable state. But for nonmetals, wouldn't a higher number of valence electrons (not counting noble gases, which already have stable, full electron shells) indicate higher reactivity? After all, they are more likely to form bonds because they are closer to a full valence electron shell....
