write a net ionic equation for Iron(III)Nitrate and Potassium Hydroxide

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is what I have so far... Fe(NO3)3 +KOH what am I missing

OpenStudy (aaronq):

first write the reaction, then remove any spectator ions (ions that arent reacting).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay so I got Fe3 + NO3 + K + OH---> ?? @aaronq

OpenStudy (anonymous):

will it be KNO3 + OHFe3 right ?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

more or less, the charges on the compounds aren't balanced so the stoichiometry is wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

double displacement first ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I haven't balanced yet

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm only giving the charges

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Fe(NO3)3 + KOH --> Fe(OH)3 + KNO3 (molecular)
