@Directrix

Directrix (directrix):

Let me check. Just a second.

Directrix (directrix):

Before I check, just a thought. This equation is a quartic which means it is of the fourth degree. So, I'm expecting to find 4 roots. Let me see.

Directrix (directrix):

I am not getting the same answers as you did. Let me look at your post above and see what's going on.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i may be wrong

Directrix (directrix):

I see the problem. The posted problem is missing an "x" after the -32. solve 16x^4-16x^3-32^2+36x-9=0 Let me work this again.

Directrix (directrix):

Alrighty, then. I am getting what you did --> -3/2, 3/2, and 1/2. 1/2 is a double root so it is counting twice which gives 4 roots. But, not 4 distinct roots which means your answers are correct. Congrats on that @cutegirl

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks so much i got more question for u to check lol

Directrix (directrix):

Okay.

Directrix (directrix):

Well, look. This is the equation from that problem I thought was the same one. solve 16x^4-16x^3-32^2+36x-9=0 And, it was solved.
