Please help I don't understand !! Admission to the movie theater costs $7.50 for adults and $3.50 for students. The theater must bring in at least $200 per movie.Write an inequality for the number of tickets the theater needs to sell to make a profit. If the theater sells 15 adult tickets, how many student tickets do they need to sell to make a profit?

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Lets use a for adults and s for students.

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

If they sell 15 adult tickets that is 7.5(15)+3.5(s)\(\ge\)200

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

7.50x+3.50y>=200 Let x be for adults and y for students. Now, just plug in the 15 adult tickets and it should be fairly easy from there

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Do you know how to find the number of student tickets with that information?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes I do @sleepyjess , thank you so much for helping me :)

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

No problem! Can you tell me what you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sleepyjess i got y ≥ 25 as the total amount for the student tickets, is it correct ?

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

\(\large\bf 25~is \color{lime}{~correct}\)

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Do you know what to do for "Write an inequality for the number of tickets the theater needs to sell to make a profit"?
