You have a distribution of 60 values. Median=25 q1=21 q3=42. Given this info, which statement is true? A. Threshold for upper value is 31.5. B. distribution is roughly normal. C. There are no outliers. D. Distribution is skewed left. E. Lower outlier threshold is 10

OpenStudy (loser66):

I think it is D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But aren't most observations on the left which would make it skewed right?

OpenStudy (loser66):

We have 60 values, but median at 25, that is from the right, it occupies 35 values when from the left it has only 25 values. To me, it is skewed left.|dw:1418398588597:dw|

OpenStudy (loser66):

I calculate, the threshold upper value is 27.01, hence A is not true the threshold lower value is 16.935, hence E is not true There is the outlier, hence C is not true the normal distribution is symmetry one, but your problem is not, hence B is not true --> only one option is possible.
