Find molar heat capacity for a general process, like P=V exp -kV , K IS A POSITIVE CONSTANT.
do you know the definition for molar heat capacity?
Isn't it simply the ratio q/t
look up Cp and Cv (molar heat capacities at constant pressure and volume respectively)
Cp and Cv are defined for constant and constant volume processes only , c on the other hand can be defined for any process, and has to be found out using the laws specific to that process. For example for a polytric process c = cv +R/1-x , where x is the polytric index. But what about the equation I mentioned in my question .
Sorry I meant polytropic and not polytric .. Slip of fingers
Can you quickly check to make sure the equation you provided in the problem is correct.
Uh.....it is not actually a problem in a textbook .......just a general doubt.
ok, because your expression is not valid.. it is not possible to get units of pressure from the right hand side of the equation.
