Help!! A business bought computers for its company for $350,000 two years ago. What is the value of the company's computers in three years using the depreciation rate of 23%? A. $94,737.45 B. $159,786.55 C. $207,515.00 D. $311,559.40
\[A=350,000\left( 1-\frac{ 23 }{ 100 } \right)^5=?\]
Do you do what's in parthenesis first?
350,000 * (1-.23)=350,000*.77=269,500 first year 269,500*,77=207,515 2 year 207,515*.77=159,785,55
=159,786.55
so it is B
basically the total lowers by 23 percent each year for 3 years.... so first year 350,000 x .77 = x next year x times .77 = y and final year y times .77 = ending amount i put .77 bc since its 23 percent your total would be 77 percent of it.
hence the answer is B
Thamk you so much! I'm not the best at this whole thing. I think I understand the problem more.
\[A=price (1-depre%)^{number of years}\]
