Check my answer? Simplifying?
I got C but im not sure think I messed up
@Jhannybean is the common denominator 44?
How did you get that?
I multiplied them all together and got 144, which didn't seem right but I saw 44 as the deonominator one of the answer choices in C
@Jhannybean I keep getting 144 :/
Btw,I read the second fraction as \((a-8)\) instead of \((a-6)\). Just reaized that, sorry.
Kind of just confused now
\[\color{red}{\frac{3a}{a^2-9a+18} - \frac{2}{a-6}}\] \[\small \begin{align} \frac{3a}{(a-6)(a-3)}-\frac{2\color{red}{(a-3)}}{(a-6)\color{red}{(a-3)}} \\ &= \frac{3a-2(a-3)}{(a-6)(a-3)} \\ &=\frac{3a-2a+6}{a^2-9a+18} \\ &=~? \end{align}\]
Sorry for the confusion earlier. All you have to do is make the second fraction have a common denominator with the first fraction, then you can combine them together and simplify. Does that make sense @JoeJoldin ?
@Jhannybean Starting to yeah, does that mean answer is A?
You got it :)
thank you oso much @Jhannybean
No problem @JoeJoldin :)
