calculate the amount of carbon in the molecule

OpenStudy (anonymous):

425 mL of 0.645 M magnesium bicarbonate (aq)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so I know the chemical formula is Mg2(HCO3)2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since it says that the number of moles is 0.645 I would multiply by the molar mass of carbon times 2 because there are 2 carbon atoms

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.645*2*12=15.48 is what I get but my answer is incorrect. What am I doing wrong?
