Explain, in terms of particles, concentration, and reaction rate, what you expect to happen when ethene gas (C2H4) and water vapor are sealed in a flask and reach a state of equilibrium. C2H4 (g) + H2O (g) Two arrows stacked on top of each other. The top arrow points to the right. The bottom arrow points to the left. C2H5OH (g) I know this isnt physics, but nobody at all in in chemistry right now and Im desperate!! Im terribly sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

At the beginning u r container is filed with C2H4 and H2O gases so th concentration of the the gases will be equal to their moles and the concentration of C2H5OH is zero.

The same with particles initially there are no C2H5OH particles. But then when the reaction starts the 1 mol C2H5OH will be created using each of 1 mol C2H4,H2O . So dramatically the moles and concentration of C2H4,H2O will reduce forming C2H5OH. Then when the equilibrium is reached the reaction settles down and acually it is happens equally back and forth so the concntration levels, moles remain unchanged after equilibrium.
