a culture started with 1000 bacteria. after 5 hours, it grew to 1200 bacteria. predict how many bacteria will be present after 11 hours. round your number to the nearest whole number. P= Ae^kt PLEASE HELP ME

OpenStudy (anonymous):

P is the final population A is the initial population k is the rate t is the time frame

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can use this information to find the rate k of your equation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can do this real real easy without the \(Ae^{kt}\) business using only the numbers given you can solve in one step

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do I solve it without the equation given?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you start with \(1000\) put that out front 5 hours later you have \(1200\) and \(1200\div 1000=1.2\) you want the population in 11 hours put \[\huge 1000\times (1.2)^{\frac{11}{5}}\] in to your calculator

Thank you! I got it correct :)
