How many grams of aluminum (Al) would react completely with 1350 grams of copper (II) chloride (CuCl2) according to the following equation? 2Al + 3CuCl2 ---> 2AlCl3 + 3Cu

OpenStudy (love_ranaa):

180.7 grams Tell me if I'm wrong :)

OpenStudy (aaronq):

lol instead of blurting out an answer you could help OP understand how to solve the question. -------- First you need to convert the mass given to moles. then relate the moles of copper(II) chloride to the moles of Al, using the stoichiometric coefficients. \(\sf \dfrac{moles~of~CuCl_2}{CuCl_2's~coefficient}=\dfrac{moles~of Al}{Al's ~coefficient}\) plug in your values, and solve. Convert moles to mass.
