HELP I'm stuck on this question. . Magnesium metal reacts with chlorine gas to produce magnesium chloride. What mass of magnesium metal is needed to completely react with 15.00 g of chlorine gas?

OpenStudy (abb0t):

Where are you stuck? Start by setting up the \(\sf \color{red}{balanced}\) chemical equation.

OpenStudy (gazela1997):

ya I got that but idk how do calculate how much magnesium is needed

OpenStudy (korosh23):

change mass to moles of chlorine. Then use the moles of chlorine gas to change it into magnesium metal. Later find the mass of the magnesium using magnesium molar mass.
