FAN AND MEDAL!! If 38.7 grams of lithium chlorate decomposes, how many grams of oxygen gas can be produced? 2 LiClO3 → 2 LiCl + 3 O2 41.1 g O2 20.6 O2 9.13 g O2 6.85 g O2

he answer is B, 20.6g of O2 produced. first you need to convert the mass of LiClO3 to moles by using the equation n=m/M. You then need to multiply this number in ratio to how much oxygen is produced, a ratio of 2:3. then you need to convert this number of moles of oxygen to mass by using the equation n*M=m.
