water has a freezing point depression constant 1.86 C-kg/mol.What mass of acetone would have to dissolve in 675 ml of water to give a solution which freezes at -1.00C. Please give me a detailed explanation. I want to learn, not just an answer.

This problem is an example of colligative properties. These properties depend on the number of dissolved particles. Since acetone is not ionic, when 1 mole dissolves, it only gives rise to 1 mole of particles. So you have to find the equation that relates the depression in freezing point with the molality of the solute. Can you do that?
