Um, the diameter is the center to the outside of the circle
OpenStudy (anonymous):
So which line shows that? @Race100
OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):
There is only one diameter in the first one ;)
OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):
And then a chord is a line that touches the circle in 2 spots. It is similar to the diameter, but they don't have to be the center, unlike the diameter.

Oh, my bad, it's the distance from one end of the circle to another that intersects the center of the circle.
OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):
I think they got what you meant haha
OpenStudy (anonymous):
:P
OpenStudy (anonymous):
B?
OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):
No, that is the radius, not the diameter :) try again

I haven't done these for a while so I'm a little rusty :/
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Oh okay :D
OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):
I believe there are three central angles in the first one ;)
OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):
"A central angle is an angle whose apex (vertex) is the center O of a circle and whose legs (sides) are radii intersecting the circle in two distinct points A and B thereby subtending an arc between those two points whose angle is (by definition) equal to that of the central angle itself."

OpenStudy (anonymous):
I think it starts from the center and opens up to the sides..
OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):
What do you think the second one is?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Thank you so much!
OpenStudy (anonymous):
I think the second one is D.?

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):
What is 360*0.3?
OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):
That's all you gotta do....multiply 360 (since a whole cirlcle is 360 degrees) by the decimal (percentage)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
108?
OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):
Yep :)

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):
What is 180-60-40? that is how you find x. Then y is just 180-40 and z is 180-whatever y is-20

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):
An object with congruent sides is regular, so what do you believe it to be?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Irregular?
OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):
And a regular pentagon has 5 congruent sides/angles. Nope It's regular ;)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Ah i gotcha! ;)
