OpenStudy (bobz216):

How can I convert mL of CO2 to mols? For a lab, we performed a reaction in which CO2 was created. We measured the CO2 by having the reaction take place in a syringe, and seeing how far the plunger was pushed up by the creation of CO2, then subtracting the initial position of the plunger (in mL) from the final position of the plunger (in mL). Now, I want to convert this to mols in order to find the rate constant of the reaction. (I have done 3 trials, and have already found the rate order of the reactants.) Thanks :)

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

Well do you know density?...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Stoichiometry

OpenStudy (aaronq):

you need to know the pressure and the temperature, then you can use: PV=nRT
