Based on the information shown below, how many grams of ammonium perchlorate, NH4ClO4, can be formed from these reactants in an excess of water? Gas Density (g/L) Initial Volume (L) NH3 0.759 2.00 HCl 1.63 1.00 NH3(g) + HCl(g) + 4H2O(l) NH4ClO4(s) + 4H2(g) A. 5.25 g B. 3.22 g C. 1.52 g D. 1.63 g

@Zale101

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

NH3(g) + HCl(g) + 4H2O(l) ---> NH4ClO4(s) + 4H2(g)

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

It's D right?

OpenStudy (zale101):

Can i see how you worked the problem.

@Zale101 Am I right? Is it D?

OpenStudy (zale101):

I dont understand how is it possible to get the mass if you have only density and initial volume. \(Density=\Large \frac{Mass}{total~ volume-initial~ volume}\) Mass=Density*Volume \(Mass=Denisty*(total~ volume-initial~ volume)\) In this case, we have only initial volume given.
