How would I graph the inequality 3x+5y ≤ 15 and shade the solution set where necessary?

ok well to graph it you need to get y by itself, so this is what you started out with: 3x+5y ≤ 15 First step is to subtract 3x from both sides: 3x+5y-3x ≤ 15-3x 5y ≤ -3x+15 Divide both sides by 5 5y/5 ≤ -3/5x+15/5 y ≤ -3/5x+3 thats the equation you need to use to graph

how would I get the coordinates to plot from your answer?

ok so the first plotting point you always make is your y-intercept which is the number with no variable next to it, which in this case is 3

ok next you look at your slope (or the number next to x), and slope is always identified as rise/run from the y intercept. so in this case your slope is -3/5 so from 3 you go down 3 and over 5 from your y intercept of 3

y≤3/5(0)+3 y≤3/5(1)+3 y≤0+3 y≤3/5+3 y≤3 y≤3.6 x=0 y=3 x=1 y=3.6

no you cant do it that way, you should really use the graphing calculator i sent you the link to

to show your answer write it as y ≤ -3/5x+3 and then go to desmos and plug in the equation. once your on desmos you can move your mouse all over different points on the graph and it'll name the coordinates for you and your y intercept is always the number without a variable next to it, if your equation doesn't show an x then add in 0x next to the side that has a number by itself
