A balloon is filled with xenon gas and forced into a tub of ice water. Under these conditions, it was found that the pressure and volume of the balloon were 3.28 atm and 0.5L, The balloon was taken out of the water and allowed to heat up to room temperature. What is the final volume of the balloon?
How can i calculate the new volume without the pressure?
think it's missing information. Yeah you would need either constant volume or constant pressure to use the combined gas law. if both are not constant then it's a huge mess of a problem that involves complex calculations. If you are not in college or majoring in physics/engineering then I guess there's a problem with the question and you can assume that pressure is constant and solve using Charles's Law \[\frac{ V1 }{ T1 } = \frac{ V2 }{ T2 }\]
