what is the chemical equation for acetic acid and sodium hydrogen carbonate?

Do you have any idea where to start?

this is acid base reaction. Which one is the acid, and which is the base? It should be fairly obvious in the name of compound haha... The acid is called an acid because most of the time it donates a proton (or H+), there are some "special" acid called Lewis acids, but here we're not dealing with it so don't worry. The base will accept that proton from the acid. One key clue here is that H2CO3 can decompose into carbon dioxide and water, so it should give you a clue. Hint hint: H2CO3 is not that different from sodium hydrogen carbonate, it needs only one more hydrogen (and kick the sodium out of course). So where is it getting it? My comment should provide info that's obvious enough for you to answer but still leave some room for thinking. if you're still confused, ask
