Potential Energy only. An object at an elevated position will have stored energy while not in motion (potential energy) defined by (m*h*g) or (weight*h) due to gravity. Once the object starts moving the object transitions to Kinetic Energy which is defined by (.5*m*v^2).

B. the particles will slow down. In a gas the particles are moving rapidly and have greater distance from each other than from a liquid. Similarly in a liquid, the particles move around but not as quickly and are much closer together than in a gas. Finally, in a solid, the particles are already packed closely together and don't really move too much.

C. Motors in general generate heat energy as a byproduct (there are a couple exceptions) which why they're prone to overheating. In theory a coat of paint over the metal conducts heat away from the metal faster than air can get the heat away from the metal alone. This has been substantiated through a few tests but realistically the difference is minimal in your everyday car.
