I need a little help in cube roots
\[\sqrt[3]{125}\]
125 can also be written as 5^3
so the answer is 5 ?
@kliedako Please do not give answers, it's against OpenStudy's Code-of-Conduct. We are here to guide the asker to the answer, so we need his/her participation. http://openstudy.com/code-of-conduct
Do you know what a cube root is?
kind of
@iGreen , sir i am not giving any answers.
I just said that 125 can be re-written as 5^3
\(\color{blue}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @kliedako 125 can also be written as 5^3 \(\color{blue}{\text{End of Quote}}\) You basically did
Wew, i just gave him an idea.
no no he didnt really
and im not a him
But if you really think that i am really giving the DIRECT answer. I'm sorry.
you weren't giving a direct answer -_-
Yes. But sir @iGreen thinks i did.
Anyway.. Cube roots are similar to square roots. In square roots, we multiply the same number by itself to get a another number. For example, 4 is the square root of 2, because 2 * 2 = 4. Cube roots are similar, but we multiply a number by itself twice, not once like square roots do. For example, the cube root of 729 is 9, because 9 * 9 * 9 = 729
Yeah, now that I look at it, it doesn't seem bad..sorry.
yes well..sir @iGreen must of mis-seen @kliedako
It's ok sir @iGreen .
anyways...
anyways @koolkat13 , now sir igreen gave you an idead about cube roots, can you now solve this problem?
yes its 5
Nice.
125= 5 x 5 x 5 = 5^3
i have 4 more that i have to do all of them i think are small like this one ..do you have time?
yes i have
ok :)
\[\sqrt[3]{-126}\]
Owh. that one is a complex number. It contains an imaginary number.
let's ask help from @Nnesha , can you help us here please?
are you sure its -126?
isn't it -125?
yes im sure....and just want to say you have awesome manners
:) thanks.
i'm gonna give you a link http://www.regentsprep.org/regents/math/algtrig/ato6/SquareRootLes.htm
do you know how to factor miss?
i have square roots down its just cube roots
no
wait a little bit
ok
cube root of -126 is pretty complex, co'z 126 is not a perfect cube.
i'll give you an overview of it http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=cube+root+of+-126
well it has to be possible..they asked me what it is
@satellite73 , @ganeshie8
I really believe that its -125 what they meant
well i cant put that answer just in case they did mean -126..this is why i despise math
@iGreen help us sir please.
This would be the answer if they really meant -126 http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=cube+root+of+-126
Do you have choices?
no just a box to put the answer in
which one ??
