PLEASE HELP In the Periodic Table, what is the relationship between two elements that are placed side-by-side in a period? A. The element on the left has one more electron. Incorrect B. The element on the left has one more proton. C. The element on the right has one more proton. D. The element on the right has one more neutron.
Electrons are arranged in order of increasing atomic number (protons).
I'll help you remember this :) Look at the periodic table. Notice on the second row called "Period 2" it has the following Li 3, Be 4, B 5, C 6, N 7, O 8, F 9, Ne 10. Notice how it's increasing by the number 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. Each row of those numbers are increasing by the number of atomic numbers. So the numbers on the right increases There you have it! :)
