could someone help me with this? i'm terrible at conversions and need this in km/h what is 120 km/h + .20 km/m?
You already have the first part in km/h. In order to find the addition of two quantities , you need both of them in the same units So, convert the second part in km/h also.
minutes can be changed into hour by dividing it with 60. So, divide the second part by 60, you will get the second part also in km/h
that would change it to 120 km/h +.003km/h=120.003km/h right?
wait. no
I meant, minutes is in denominator here. So, in effect you will have to multiply the second part by 60. Sorry, for the wrongful explanation above.
its fine. thank you for explaining what to do.
i do have one more question if its alright with you. i'm not to sure on what to do. i think it involves a triangle.
Put it forth. I will see if I can help.
A river flows at a speed of 12 m/s from north to south. A powerboat can move at a constant maximum speed of 23 m/s in still water. If the boat were headed east across the river at its maximum speed, what would the resultant velocity of the boat be?
