Calculate the number of atoms in 8.5g of ammonia gas ,NH_3. A 6.02x10^23 B 0.5x6.02x10^23(My answer) C 8.5x6.02x10^23 D 0.5x4x6.02x10^23 @Somy
That looks correct. You found the number of moles In NH3 from 8.5 grams (0.5) and multiplied it by the avogadro number.
\[Number~of~moles=\frac{ 8.5g }{ 17g~mol^{-1} }\]
Thnx @dtan5457
It might be, but I wouldn't have a clue why.
I think it's D since NH3 has 4 atoms
if you did as u showed in the formula & multiplied the value of mole with Avogadro's number - then yeah, you are correct mole= mass/Mr mass of COMPOUND given Mr u calculated Mole OF COMPOUND found * Avogadro's number = number of atoms in the WHOLE COMPOUND
it doesnt matter how many atoms the compound has u used mass of compound molecular mass of compound and so u got mole of compound thus u end up getting number of atoms in total of atoms OF compound
So, the answer is B ?
bingo :3
Thanks @Somy @dtan5457
