How many grams of zinc metal will react completely with 8.2 liters of 3.5 M HCl? Show all of the work needed to solve this problem. Zn (s) + 2 HCl (aq) yields ZnCl2 (aq) + H2 (g)

Please just tell me the steps. I can go through the steps on my own and figure it out :)

Still here?

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

The only thing you need to know is that moles=concentration x volume 8.2 x 3.5=28.7 moles of HCL Since that is two moles, that means a single mole of zinc will be 14.35 moles Now, just get the molar mass of 14.35 grams of zinc. Zinc=65.4 grams per mole 65.4 x 14.35=?

939.80, and thank you, Chemistry confuses me. I have to get a tutor but until then..

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

No problem. Feel free to fan and medal and tag me into further questions. Openstudy can teach you a lot, but you will need to spend a lot of time.

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

If anything, get a regents book (I'm using the chemistry barrons book) and do at least one chapter a week, you'll get ahead of everyone in no time.

Ok, will do :) I also try to use khna academy but I haven't had time to go on lately :( but when i do it helps a lot
