OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the ph when two aqueous solutions are mixed: 50.0 mL of 1.30×10−2M H2SO4 and 50.0 mL of 3.85×10−2M NaOH.

OpenStudy (aaronq):

Find the moles of \(H^+\) and the moles of \(OH^-\) with: \(\sf Molarity=\dfrac{moles~of~solute}{L_{solution}}\) Find out which one is in excess (remember it's a neutralization reaction), and find moles (subtract one from the other). Find pH using relations: \(pH=-log[H^+]\) \(pOH=-log[OH^-]\) pH+pOH=14
