NEED HELP PLEASE!!! I WILL MEDAL!!
If m = 8 in and n = 10 in, what is the surface area of the geometric shape formed by this net? 128 sq in 208 sq in 224 sq in https://app107.studyisland.com/pics/268427pic3.png
area of the square = 8^2 area of each triangle = 1/2 * base * height = 1/2 * 8 * 10
total rea = area square + 4* area of triangle
so that means? sorry im not good at this
can you work out the area of the square and of one of the traingles calculate them from the formula i giave you in my furst post
how?
8^2 = ? 1/2 *8*10 = ?
8^2 = 8*8 = ?
8 times 8
1,024
??? 8*8 = 1024?
oh 8 times 8 = 64
That's makes a triangular prism..
right now the area of a triangle = half of the base times the height = half of 8 times 10 can you compute that?
half of 80 is 40 so 40?
A square pyramid to be exact. \(SA_{Square~Pyramid} = s^2 + 2 \times s \times l\) Where 's' is the side length, and 'l' is the slant height. Here, 'm' is the side length, and 'n' is the slant height. Plug in what we know: \(SA_{Square~Pyramid} = 8^2 + 2 \times 8 \times 10\) Simlpify
*Simplify
yes now the total area of the net is the area of the square + area of the triangles there are 4 triangles so total area = 64 + 4 times 40 = ?
Lol
:( it exited out it does that when you take 2 long 2 answer
Oh..
work out the area of the 4 triangles first this is 4*40 then add the area of the square (64 )
