Calorimetry help please!! Medal + Fan A nutritionist burns 28 grams of corn chips. The heat released raises 5,000 mL of water from 22°C to 54°C. Complete the table below, assuming the corn chips are completely burned and all the heat is absorbed by the water. Complete the table for 61 g of tomatoes if the same setup is used and the temperature increases by 4°C. I have everything on the chart filled out except for the total energy released
E = Energy which is released, warms water. m = Mass (1 ml water is 1 gram) Change of temperature is 32 degrees (delta T) Change in Celsius is same as change in Kelvins C = Heat capacity of water is 4.1868 J / g K E= m C delta T, answer is in joules.
I figured out the first part of the question. E=668,800(corn chips) and 83,600(tomatoes), but how would i find out how much heat was released?
The heat released warms up water. It is the way measure energy which s produced.
