WILL FAN & MEDAL. xoxox. The weights of boxes of candies produced in a factory are normally distributed with a mean weight of 16 oz and a standard deviation of 1 oz. What is the weight of a box of candies with a z-score of 2? A. 16 oz B. 18 oz C. 20 oz D. 22 oz

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

The z-score formula is: \(Z= \dfrac{X-\mu}{\sigma}\) Where \(Z\) = z-score \(X\) = weight of a box \(\mu\) = mean \(\sigma\) = standard deviation Essentially, the problem gives you \(Z\), \(\mu\) and \(\sigma\). Substitute those values in the z-score formula and you just need to find \(X\).
