Can can someone please explain to me how to convert from mass to moles? For example, if I was given 22.6 grams of Cl2 gas (and this pertains to the Ideal Gas Law), how would I find the number of moles?

OpenStudy (somy):

formula mole = mass/ molecular mass

OpenStudy (somy):

you are given mass 22.6g and molecular mass of Cl2 is known to you from periodic table thus calculate it and now put the values into the formula and get the answer for mole
