OpenStudy (mg_s1994):

Which is most likely to be part of an ionic bond? A. An atom with no valence electrons B. An atom with one valence electron C. An atom with two valence electrons D. An atom with three valence electrons I think it is B.

OpenStudy (thatonegirl_):

You would be correct because ionic bonds involve moving an electron to another atom so that it can become stable. Since it would has 1 before it can become stable, it just gives it away to another atom in the bond.

OpenStudy (thatonegirl_):

the first one wouldnt do anything, and c and d could work, but aren't MOST LIKELY.

OpenStudy (mg_s1994):

Thank you! That makes a lot of sense :) @Thatonegirl_
