In this double replacement reaction, which are the products? HCl + NaOH —> ______? a.NaOH + HCl b. ClOH + HNa c. NaCl + H2O

OpenStudy (jfraser):

do you know the story about the "dance" of double displacement ions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In this type of reactio, acid-base neutralization, the first element of both of the reactants is positively charged and the sencond element/compound is negatively charged. Afterthis you swap the positive of the first reactant with the negative of the second reactant and join the negative of the first reactant to the positive of the second reactant, giving you HCL + NaOH - H2O + NaCl

That seems to be more understanding. Thank you!

My pleasure.
