OpenStudy (thatonegirl_):

If you have dissolved 1 mole of NaCl in water, how many moles of particles will you have once it has dissociated completely? (show dissociation equation as evidence)

@vera_ewing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Each NaCl formula unit dissociates into one sodium ion and one chloride ion, so you get two moles of ions from each mole of sodium chloride.

OpenStudy (thatonegirl_):

What is the dissociation equation though? @ghuczek

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\color{green}{\text{NaCl} \rightarrow \text{Na}^+ + \text{Cl}^-}\]

ok thx
