This question seems so easy, i dont know if its tricking me..? All of the following are examples of solutions except salt water. sugar. air. brass. i think it's C
Well, air is actually considered a gaseous solution.
Tragic is correct, that means brass is not a solution
oh. would it be A?
The answer you are looking for is D.
ooohhhh! thank you guys so much! (:
Brass is not a solution. Your welcome.
i got it wrong.
seriously? did it tell you the correct answer?
Sugar is just a compound, its not mixed with water or something else to call it 'solution'
Yes!
'Usually you can think of brass as a solid solution consisting of zinc and other metals (solutes) dissolved in copper (solvent).' http://chemistry.about.com/od/alloys/f/Is-Brass-A-Solution.htm
The question is flawed though, because usually a material like brass is classified as an alloy. It is not really a solution because it is heterogeneous, which you can see if you examine its detailed structure.
thank you @ghuczek I had said that Brass was not a solution.
it is not solution really but u can more or less consider it to be a solid solution
but sugar alone is absolutely not a solution
