Butene has two isomers—one with methyl groups on the same side of the double bond and the other with methyl groups on the opposite side. What kind of isomers are these? structural isomers geometric isomers halotropic isomers

OpenStudy (academicgurusinc):

Structural isomers. Structural isomerism is a form of isomerism in which molecules with the same molecular formula have bonded together in different orders Geometric isomerism is a form of stereoisomerism describing the relative orientation of functional groups within a molecule. Halotropic isomerism does not exist. Therefore the answer is structural isomers.
