In the following reaction, how many grams of nitroglycerin C3H5(NO3)3 will decompose to give 25 grams of CO2? 4C3H5(NO3)3(l) 12CO2(g) + 6N2(g) + 10H2O(g) + O2(g) The molar mass of nitroglycerin is 227.0995 grams and that of carbon dioxide is 44.01 grams. 14.5 grams 387.10 grams 43.00 grams 1.6 grams 193.5 grams

OpenStudy (ookawaiioo):

I cant do this problem right now.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay. That is fine.

OpenStudy (jfraser):

we can't compare \(masses\) of different compounds together, we can only compare \(moles\) of compounds, because a mole is always the same number of molecules or atoms.

OpenStudy (jfraser):

take the \(mass\) of \(CO_2\) you need to form and convert it into \(moles\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is stoichometry right?

OpenStudy (jfraser):

it is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got 43.00.
